SACRAMENTO, CA – The teenager who was shot and killed Christmas night has been identified.
According to the Sacramento Coroner, the victim was 15-year-old Brayan Castanon of Sacramento.
The Sacramento Police Department was called to the 7400 block of 29th Street around 9:44 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived they found Castanon suffering from a gunshot wound and he was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

As officers continued their investigation it was discovered that there were multiple victims struck by gunfire.
Medical staff at a local hospital notified police of a teenage victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. It was later determined to be related to the incident on 29th Street.
A short time later, a third teenaged shooting victim was found in the area of the scene and taken to the hospital by police and treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
According to witnesses, the victims were with a group of teens who were approached by two suspects on foot. A verbal argument ensued and both suspects pulled guns and started firing at the group. The suspects are believed to be adults.
No arrests have been made and Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives and Crimes Scene Investigators are actively working the case.
